Philanthropic Friday: In the UK, 7 13-24 Year Olds Are Diagnosed With Cancer Everyday

When these young people are diagnosed, they need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word "cancer."

WHY THEY ROCK:
Teenage Cancer Trust creates world-class cancer services for young people in the UK, providing life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.

WHAT THEY DO:
Making treatment more bearable by creating cancer units for young people aged between 13 and 24 together. They are treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them. There are lots of events like Find Your Sense of Tumor that includes inspirational presentations, fabulous therapies and great social activities for those who understand what it is like to have cancer. Royal Albert Hall concerts raise money for the previously mentioned services and more like education, awareness and improving access to specialist services.

WHAT ARTIST SUPPORTS THEM:
Noel Gallagher
